Creo Parametric 13.4.0.0 introduces artificial intelligence directly into the Creo environment, significant performance gains, and workflow improvements across modeling, simulation, surfacing, electrical design, Model-Based Definition, and other engineering disciplines.

AI comes directly into Creo
One of the most important developments in Creo 13 is the introduction of the Creo AI Assistant.
Available within the Creo interface, the assistant can provide guidance based on PTC product knowledge and information from the active Creo session. Engineers can use it to:
- Ask how to perform a modeling operation
- Review parts and their material assignments
- Explore preferred multibody and Boolean workflows
- Get guidance related to GD&T
- Investigate licensing and capability availability

This represents the first stage of PTC’s broader Advise, Assist, and Automate AI strategy.
The current Advise capabilities focus on providing answers and recommendations. Future Assist and Automate capabilities are expected to help users perform or complete selected engineering tasks.
Productivity improvements for everyday design work
Creo 13.4 introduces several enhancements that simplify frequently used workflows.
Window tabs make it easier to view and switch between open models without navigating through the Windows menu.
Expanded feature presets bring reusable settings to more operations, including Boolean tools, multibody features, and data-sharing features such as Copy Geometry.
Graphical tooltips provide clearer descriptions of commands, helping users understand unfamiliar functionality directly within the interface.
Engineers can also create patterns along a three-dimensional curve chain, with pattern instances aligned to the curve tangent for better placement and orientation on complex geometry.
The new Corner Blend tool provides a more efficient way to create high-quality corner transitions using cylindrical, conic, and variable-radius rounds with parametric control.
Creo 13.4 also improves ISDX and Style workflows through better curve calculation, easier control-point modification, improved tangent controls, and the ability to copy and paste objects within a Style feature.
Faster performance for demanding Creo workflows
Many Creo 13 improvements focus on reducing delays during daily engineering work.
Performance enhancements include:
- Faster Windchill assembly retrieval over wide-area networks
- Improved model-tree responsiveness
- Faster Global Clearance and Global Interference analyses
- Better box selection and geometry highlighting

A new assembly performance report helps identify the individual parts or subassemblies responsible for slow loading and regeneration. This allows teams to locate performance bottlenecks instead of treating the entire assembly as the problem.
Native 3D PDF export for Model-Based Definition
Creo 13 introduces native 3D PDF export, providing Model-Based Definition teams with a more accessible way to communicate product information.
A 3D PDF can contain model geometry, annotations, model views, display states, viewpoints, and product manufacturing information. Suppliers and other downstream participants can therefore review the model using a compatible PDF viewer without requiring access to Creo.
Basic 3D PDF export is available with supported Creo licenses. Advanced capabilities, including custom templates and batch export, are available through an additional extension.
The capability also integrates with Windchill, allowing 3D PDFs to be published as controlled engineering deliverables.
Expanded simulation and generative design capabilities
Creo 13.4 brings important improvements to Generative Design and Creo Simulate Live.
Generative Design now supports optimization studies directly in the assembly environment. Engineers can also combine structural and modal load cases within a single study and use inertia relief to represent moving or unsupported systems without creating artificial constraints.
Creo Simulate Live enhancements include:
- Supported simulations for ECAD assemblies
- Bolt patterning within the simulation environment
- Moving reference frames for rotating components
- Local fidelity controls for refining selected regions
- Improved visibility when reviewing simulation results
These capabilities help engineers evaluate more realistic operating conditions earlier in the design process.
